MAC Satin Lipstick comes in 28 shades with a good variety of colors, though neutrals predominate. It will be a lipstick that I’ll put in my everyday rotation in spite of the fact that who sees your lipstick now that we’re all wearing masks? Oh well, I will enjoy it myself! I think MAC Satin Lipstick in the shade Twig was a worthwhile purchase for $10. Today, I’ve been wearing Twig for 6 hours, and I could easily still see the color. The color is flat (like the paint term), meaning with no shine. It isn’t a matte shade, but it doesn’t look what I thought satin looks like either, especially as time goes on. I think for most people it would be fine on its own. So I have started wearing MAC Prep + Prime underneath, and it is more comfortable for me. I had some cheese and a piece of toast, and the color faded somewhat, but it was still apparent.īecause my lips are so dry, I missed the initial sensation of creaminess as the lipstick dried down. In fact, I had to look in the mirror to see if the color was still on. Over time, the creaminess disappears, and the lipstick feels weightless. As I mentioned earlier, the color is buildable, and it definitely deepens with an additional swipe that gives it full coverage. I am not sure if I own any other MAC Satin Lipsticks. Regardless, it does seem to be different from the other lipsticks I wear often. In some lighting conditions, the emphasis is on the brown, and in others, it almost looks like rose. It is a buildable lipstick that looks like an MLBB shade with one light swipe (see below),īut it builds to a deep but soft brownish-pink. When I first took off the cap to look at Twig, I thought, oh no, another mauve. The MAC mini holds 1.8 grams, and it will probably take me ages to use it up anyway. Occasionally, I finish a lipgloss, but never a lipstick in bullet form. Gone are the days that I can actually use up a lipstick. Strange, but whatever.įirst, I love mini-lipsticks. The lipstick arrived yesterday along with the gifts that went along with my Tony Moly purchase, but not the Tony Moly essence. The pinks are either too pale or too bright and bubble-gummy. I have been looking for a pink shade, but I always strike out. I was hoping that it wouldn’t end up being another mauve lipstick, since I own zillions already. Looking at the swatch and the bullet on my computer screen, it looked almost like a coral, but I doubted that it was coral. Twig was described as a soft muted brownish-pink. So I decided to buy a mini MAC Satin Lipstick for $10, and I chose the shade, Twig. I was ordering a replacement for my almost empty Tony Moly CHOK CHOK Green Tea Watery Essence at Macy’s during a recent sale, and I needed to spend a little bit more to get free shipping.
